Put in a application for a rental property with multiple sources of income I never got a denial letter or a follow up call saying I didn’t qualify for the property. Instead of contacting me saying “We can’t get in contact with your employer” they thought I would just forget about the application and go on about life $50 down the drain and I have to pay another $50 to apply to another property that they manage how can this be my background hasn’t changed? Anyway the property managers are horrible to work with I understand they have a job and they have to follow rules for their job but the lack of understanding and initiative is insane! I was told “we’ll take into consideration about the last application but we still require a application fee” blew my mind I’m not one to complain and rant but this company(department) needs serious retraining a simple phone call or email could’ve solved everything but they didn’t wanna do their job. “I called your employer twice and got no answer” mean while they left no emails or voicemails it’s the Police Department they are busy!!!

Do yourself a favor and never rent with this company. There's a reason they have less than 3 star ratings. I have dealt with bad property management. But they take the cake on this one. The worst of the worst Even the owners of the house. Are the terrible people. They're all just in it for the money. Take your money somewhere else. Where they actually care for you and your family.

Went to view a home on Wednesday. Got to meet Mrs Heather Williams and her assistant. They were professional and informational on the application process. I love the he space the home provides, hopefully my family and I will live here.

During covid our stove/ oven broke... back when no take out was even oven.. they took 2 months to replace it because they kept “ forgetting about it”. Now they served us with a 60 day notice because they want to sell the house.., asked us to move ASAP.,, so we did now they want us to pay for 2 months when we vacated the property just for them. On top of moving costs, and our new rent 🤣 Mellissa specifically has been a joke to work with. She is never available, never can help... unless it comes to you “ owing “ them money because she’s right on top of that.

I give ZERO starts for this company! Renting with this company has been nothing but pure hell! They do not care for their tenants or military community!! When we first moved into the house, the house wasn't even ready. The owner refused to start our lease 3 days later as we were pcsing from Texas. Ok no big deal. When we got to the house the water heater had leaked in the shed. The gas furnish which is the regulator to the A.C had to be replaced. This caused us not to have any heat in the house toward the end of NOV or hot water. The shed door had mold so it had to be fixed I have three kids so we ended up having to stay in a hotel. No reimbursement for that at all, not even a SORRY! Next issue is we still have yet to receive a recycling been. It has been 14 months and still no recycling bin. Then back in the summer, there was a change in management and we were not notified. I found out by calling the old property manager who stated "I don't work there anymore, it’s been about two months". The new property manager had sent a bill for trash that we had NEVER received in the past. At this point we were living in the house about 7 months. The new manager Melissa sent out the bill but did not even have the common courtesy to introduce herself because she states " I work for the owner, and we do not have to disclose to the tenants any change in management". We received a call from Melissa 10/1/2018 asking if we would like to renew the lease, we stated we did. Melissa asked if she could do a walk-through of the property because she was not the original manager to sign the lease with us. Melissa conducted the walkthrough with my husband on 10/5/2018. A few days later my husband had sent a follow up email asking her if the owners were going to make the small repairs needed. Melissa emailed back and stated that the owner wanted to “hold off on repairs at this time”. Ok fine. My husband then made a call asking Melissa for a lease renewal contract because it was a month out from expiring, Melissa stated that she was waiting on the owners. A few weeks go by and on 11/19/2018, my husband and I received an email from Melissa stating she wanted to make us aware that the owner did not want to renew the lease and that a 60 day notice letter was sent to our address. We were shocked because we were under the impression we were renewing the lease. We found a place and per Melissa, we were only be rent responsible until January 19, 2019 as that was 60 days from the date of the 60 notice. I followed up with an email telling her I appreciated her clearing up that we would only be rent responsible up until that point. She then emailed me back stating the owner did not want to prorate January. Melissa was deceitful in the fact she did not tell the owner what she had said about only being rent responsible until January 19, 2019. I have been trying to get this issue resolved, it took three weeks, (six phone calls) to get the District Director Craig Wool to return any of my calls. I even called Bob Burch who is over everyone and never received a call back. Melissa admitted that she just took over managing properties in June of 2018 and needed the help of the district manager to explain the lease because she did not know how to do so. It has been nothing but inconsistencies from the beginning. Century 21 Nachman could care less about the tenants. This Newport News office is nasty and rude. Kathy, the assistant to Melissa needs a huge attitude check, she is just nasty. There is no customer service here and they pretend to comprehend things when in reality they don’t. We are now stuck paying the rent through January and paying the rent for our new place with three kids. If we had known they were not going to renew the lease, we would have given the appropriate notice to be out and not stuck paying double rent! Please STAY FAR AWAY!!
