I am Gina Shores, the Happie Hippie REALTOR® with Align Real Estate Group brokered by eXp Realty. I have lived in Virginia Beach for over 15 years and I have been a hard worker since I was 15. I had a very successful decade in the restaurant industry, but I quickly found myself longing for “more” for myself. One day I decided to reach out to my cousin, Angie Clark, who has been crushing it in Real Estate for 15 years. I came in for a meeting with her just to gather some information about becoming/ being an agent. Well… that meeting turned out to be 2 hours long and it ended with her offering to mentor me, take me completely under her wing, and for me to start work at her new brokerage. I love working with family, and Angie seemed to think I’d be perfect for real estate, so I took that leap of faith and haven’t looked back.

I received a full year of extensive training as her assistant, and together we closed 20+ deals. This level of training as a brand new agent is extremely rare. I have since been on my own and totally crushing it in the real estate world with 4 years of experience under my belt. My successes are a direct result of the training I received from Angie, my dedication to serving my clients to the fullest, and building my business and reputation by referral. I chose this business model of working by referral, because it is based on strong personal relationships. This reflects who I am. I love to take excellent personal care of my clients and I love to build a special relationship with each and every one of them. The freedom to run my business the way I see fit is what I love most about being a real estate agent. I am quite the “people person”, so I am grateful to have a business that I can build on by strengthening my connections with others!

I have recently taken my 3-year client following and hung my license with eXp Realty LLC. I am so blessed to run my business under the largest residential real estate brokerage in North America. I am thoroughly enjoying my new brokerage resources and working amongst some of the most motivated real estate individuals in all of Hampton Roads.

Now, that’s enough about work. I love to get know people, so here is a little about me to start. I am a very well rounded individual. I am the product of a rather unusual pair. My father is a big and strong country man who has run a four generation, family owned painting company his entire life, and my mother is an incredibly intelligent Therapist who has been full of surprises and rich in different experiences her entire life. From this amazing duo of parents and my beloved grandmother, Meemo, I have been raised to be kind, independent, strong, competitive, and to love and embrace life to the fullest. It is my strong will and determination to make something of myself that led me to the Real Estate field. When I am not working I like to take time to enjoy myself by either playing or relaxing. My favorite activity is training Muay Thai. There is nothing like getting all your aggression out while you land a gnarly kick or a mean left hook on a nice set of broken in Muay Thai pads. I have 7 siblings and a thousand cousins so I’ve always loved to play flight. I might look fierce while I’m training, but the truth is I am a total sweetheart. I love to have uplifting, meaningful talks with friends and refreshing, meditative walks through First Landing State Park. I enjoy spending a lot of time outdoors and riding around with my husband in our two classic cars – ’71 VW Bug and our ’74 Ford Bronco!
